Weekday devotionals for Christians

Stop Fainting

Gal 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Gal 6:10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Have you ever been tired while doing good things?  Have you ever been tired of doing good things?  If you have not experienced this yet, just wait it is on its way.  I am glad that God does not experience this while He does me good!  I am so glad that God is good to me all the time!  He is good to me on a daily basis.

Psa 68:19  Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Sometimes my sin nature gets in the way of realizing God’s goodness.

When we get weary in well doing, we start to consider things that we normally would not consider while we are strong.  Sometimes those things are sin, quitting, giving up on life, etc.  Maybe you can “fill in the blank” with a thing or two.  God is admonishing us to not give up, to not be weary in well doing.  One would not think that doing well and doing good things could make us weary, but it can and does.  What will your reaction be when you are weary?  I like how it is worded in verse 9; “Let us…”.  You are not alone, others are with you!  Remember, God will not ask you to do something that He has not already done!  When you are weary, tell God…He always understands!
