What Does God Really Want

Matthew 11:28

28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

These words were spoken by our loving Saviour almost 2000 years ago.  They had a tremendous impact on that day and continue to impact lives today!  Notice if you will the following words:

Come-Jesus sought you at salvation and compelled you to come to Him, today He still wants you to come to him.  Think about those 3 powerful words in verse 28 and say them to yourself.  Say it again, and again, and again.  With discouragement and depression abounding in today’s time, the opportunity to come is most needed in all of our lives.

unto Me-This is the “where” we are supposed to come.  These two words indicate that while we are coming, there will also be a “leaving” of something, somewhere, someone, or all of the above.
True Happiness, true Joy, true Fulfillment comes only when we leave what needs to be left and come to the place, come to the position, and come to the person of Jesus.  Those who don’t understand this principle think that coming to Jesus is a one time event for those who are unsaved, or for those who life is in the gutter.  While Jesus will accept both of these two types of people, He does not want to limit Himself to only these two types, but rather to also be open to all.
So today, don’t hesitate to come to Jesus.  Coming to Jesus should be a daily happening…and when it does, it will bring multiplied blessings.  So what are you waiting for?  Jesus, He is waiting for you.  Don’t keep Him waiting any longer!       Remember this when you are celebrating Thanksgiving!  This is the most important thing to be thankful for!

OH, Yeah…Come to Sunday School too at 9:45 AM!
